Because Flamingos Giveaway Hop – ends 4/1 #BecauseFlamingos

This giveaway is brought to you by Fox Home Entertainment.  I was compensated with product in exchange for this post.  All thoughts are my own.

Recently, all three of my kids were lucky enough to be treated to a move in a real theater by their school’s Home School Association.  They saw the movie Sing, which I had been dying to see, what with all of the promos on TV.  I was very jealous of them but was determined to somehow see this movie.  It’s hitting stores on Tuesday, 3/21, so I was going to pick up a copy.  However, I was so lucky to be offered a  copy of the special edition of Sing to review in advance.  This edition features 3 new mini-movies so my kids were even more eager to watch it again.

From Illumination Entertainment, the studio that brought you THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS comes an animated comedy about finding the music that lives inside all of us.

SING stars Matthew McConaughey as Buster Moon, an eternally optimistic koala who puts on the world’s greatest singing competition to save his crumbling theater; winner Reese Witherspoon as Rosita, an overworked and underappreciated mother of 25 piglets desperate to unleash her inner diva; Scarlett Johansson as Ash, a punk rock porcupine with a beautiful voice behind her prickly exterior; and Taron Egerton as Johnny, a young gangster gorilla looking to break free of his family’s felonies.

Academy Award® winner MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY as dapper koala Buster Moon and writer/director GARTH JENNINGS as elderly lizard Miss Crawly greet the contestants in the event film Sing, from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures.

I loved it, just like I knew I would.  To me, it was like watching the very first season of American Idol, but with a bit of (kid-friendly) The Real World with the backgrounds of the characters.  I can see Sing easily becoming a favorite for our family – I bet yours will love it too, especially if they haven’t seen it yet.

Before I get to the really good news, I’ve got an exclusive clip for you!  Reese Witherspoon, who voices Rosita, mom of 25(!) piglets but does so ingeniously, talks about how Rosita and how she identifies with her character.

You can pick up Sing on Tuesday, 3/21 on Blu-ray with the BONUS 3 mini-movies!  But I’ve got an awesome surprise for one of you – I’m giving away a Blu-ray copy of Sing to one of you, as part of the Because Flamingos Giveaway Hop!
