This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/POWERADE.  All thoughts are my own.

It’s springtime, and that means many sports are starting up again soon.  I always enjoy seeing my friends’ posts of their young athletes on social media, but my friend Dana’s family includes athletes I especially love to see.  It’s awesome to see them playing their hearts out, all with the support of their siblings and parents.  Dana and her husband are right there every step of the way, cheering on their family. I know there’s also constant transportation of everybody every which way, which is just one of many ways that parents help out young athletes.

Here’s her son, Luke, in action in a baseball game:

POWERADE is proud to support young athletes.  They want to remind us that everybody starts somewhere, hence the “Just a Kid” program.  Every little bit helps support, inspire and motivate athletes, no matter what their goals may be.

One easy way to support young athletes is by supplying POWERADE, because:

The ION4® Advanced Electrolyte System helps replenish four electrolytes lost in sweat: sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. POWERADE is formulated with a 6% carbohydrate solution to help provide energy to working muscles, and vitamins B3, B6 and B12.

Though I am no athlete, I use POWERADE to keep hydrated during those August theme park trips.  My husband also drinks it when he’s working outside in the summer heat.

You can pick up POWERADE at Walmart or Walmart.com.  Until 4/4/16, when you purchase 2 8-packs of 20-ounce POWERADE bottles from Walmart, you can score a free, custom “Just a Kid” reusable sports bottle!  Visit http://www.us.powerade.com/walmart/#pov2 for all of the details.

You can also support other young athletes by visiting POWERADE’S Just a Kid site and ordering custom “Just a Kid” apparel to represent your “somewhere”.  All net proceeds go to the Boys & Girl’s Club of America.  Visit https://justakidfrom.powerade.com/ and check it out.

Even what seems to be the smallest actions help motivate young athletes.  After all, even Michael Jordan had to get practice at one time.  Someone also coached him, maybe a parent volunteer.  Every star athlete had to start somewhere.  Every young athlete has a story in the making – together with POWERADE, we can help them excel.

We love Powerade in this house. Mountain Berry Blast seems to be our favorite. I just checked out their Just A Kid apparel and the hoodie looks so comfy!

I think it is wonderful that Powerade is trying to help young athletes! I love it when companies do something to help others. I don’t drink Powerade and have no kids nor do I know anyone who has any young athletes. If I hear of any I will surely let them know!
