My husband and I are both addicted to chocolate. While we are content with mainstream American brands, we have also come to love the European brands that are a bit more indulgent. So you can imagine my delight when I was offered the chance to sample various Chocolat Frey® products and tell you all about it.
So I’ve told you how Chocolat Frey is good to the earth, but we need to get to the important facts – how does it taste? As you can see form the above experience, this is not just chocolate; your taste buds will be taken on a sensory tour of all different flavors and textures. They offer sorts of products, many of them perfect as gifts, especially with Easter coming up soon.
Speaking of Easter, I bet you have somebody in your life that would adore the whimsy of a chocolate bunny, but the taste of the #1 chocolate in Switzerland. Chocolat Frey’s bunnies have cute names and come in three bright colors (SRP $7.99 & $3.59), perfect for a little gift for somebunny.
And for inquiring minds, the inside of Funny Bunny:
Of course, my kids liked the bunnies the best. The chocolate was so rich and creamy – just a little piece is enough to fulfill a craving, though of course I wouldn’t turn down more. You’ll notice Frey’s attention to detail with the molding that appears on the shell also appearing on the chocolate itself.
Then there’s what I like to call the “Mommy stash”: the Frey Chocobloc (SRP $1.99) and Crunchy Nut Bars (SRP $4.99).
The combination of nuts and high-quality chocolate swept me away on a wave of chocolate bliss. The kids weren’t as into these, but I think the combination of hazelnuts or almonds and chocolate is more of an acquired taste for mature palates (and that just means more for me!). I’m not usually a fan of orange or white chocolates but even these varieties were delicious.
Looking for a quick escape during your day? Pick up a bag of the Chocobloc Minis in Milk, Dark or Assorted, and give yourself a mini Swiss vacation!
If you were hesitant to try a new chocolate brand, this is your perfect entry into the Chocolat Frey brand. It allows you try a bit of everything with little commitment. But trust me, you’ll be pretty loyal to this brand after you taste these beauties! They’re perfect for those moments when you just need a quick chocolate fix.
Chocolat Frey also offers traditional gift assortments. Take this form of gifting up a level with the Swiss taste of assorted pralines. I was considering saving this gift box for Easter at my family’s house but then I came to my senses.
I know I have many friends and family members that like a little sweet, but not too much. I made up an Easter basket to give to an aunt with a bit of everything so she can try Chocolat Frey. I love how fun and bright the bunny is, accenting the other products in the basket, as well as the basket itself.
