My skin takes a real beating in the winter.  It’s pretty dry anyway but when you add in the dryness, I am scratching all the time! Well, our poor cats suffer from the same fate.  I’ve bet you’ve noticed a few flakes here and there in his coat.  I know I’ve seen them, and if I haven’t, it’s only because Daisy has mostly white fur.  Even worse is when they get a hot spot – a spot they just lick and scratch and generally bother.

Solving these itchy issues usually meant a visit to the vet, if only to purchase the products to combat this skin malady.  But who really has time to get to the vet when you don’t really NEED to?  So poor kitty sits and scratches.  Not anymore! Bayer® ExpertCare™ has a whole line of products to help cats (and dogs!) stay clean and healthy.  The best part is that you can pick up these products at PetSmart.  Yep, your favorite pet superstore has these grooming products, right alongside everything your pet could need or want.

My cat, Daisy, is constantly worrying one spot on her back.  I’m not sure if it’s itchy or what, but I figured a good first step was to use Bayer Expert Care Itch Relief Cat Spray, which I had picked up on a recent trip to PetSmart (with a vet visit scheduled too!).  After checking for broken skin, which I didn’t see, I used the itch spray.  I’m not sure how much actually got on the itchy area, as I’m sure you can imagine how a cat reacts to any fluid being sprayed on them and why I have no pictures of that process, but she seemed to leave the area alone for awhile.  If nothing else, Daisy smelled GORGEOUS from the spray.  She seemed to feel pretty too.

My darker cat, Carrie, has had some skin flakiness.  I decided torture/spray her too.  While she wasn’t too happy either, at least I feel like I’m helping my cats have healthier skin.

(I’m sure you can tell that both photos were taken BEFORE any spraying commenced)

While a visit to the vet is always the best course if your pet has some skin issue going on, Bayer® ExpertCare™ products, exclusively at PetSmart, offer a great solution to those that are not major issues.  And your cat will love it if you pick up some treats while you’re there to make up for the spraying, trust me.

This sounds like a great product to help the itch on cats. My brother’s cat has a skin condition so I will have to share this with him. Thanks for a great review and the furbabies are beautiful.

I have dogs but I love cats. I’ll surely mention this to my friend who has a cat.

My dog has been itchy, maybe they have a line for pups, too!

Just lately I have noticed Baby, my cat, scratching at one particular spot. Not sure if I could hold her down while spraying this on her but it is sure worth a try! I will pick some up on my next trip to Petsmart.
