Master Lock helps the American Red Cross support disaster victims – you can help too! #MasterLockProtects

This post is brought to you by Master Lock.  All thoughts are my own.

We’ve been very fortunate in our lives.  Even when we were threatened with disaster (Hurricane Sandy), the worst we dealt with was no power.  We were still safe and had a roof over our heads.  With a blizzard bearing down on us in less than a day, I’m hoping against hopes that our power will stay on and we’ll be safe.  (I wish the same for all of you too!)

I do know that if something were to happen, the American Red Cross would be there to help us.  There was a fire a few weeks ago in the next town over and the Red Cross helped the residents find somewhere to stay.  This past week, there was a devastating fire at an apartment complex in Englewood, NJ where the residents were left with nothing but the clothes on their back.  The American Red Cross has once again stepped in by opening up a reception center for all of those families.

This year, Master Lock (a top name that helps keep our family and possessions safe) is making it easy for us to help the American Red Cross come to the aid of people that have been struck by disaster.  Now through January 31st, all you have to do is tweet about a time when safety and security have been at the top of your mind using the hashtag #MasterLockProtects.  For every tweet, Master Lock will donate $1 to the American Red Cross, up to $10,000.  This will match their initial donation of $10,000 that they’ve already given to the Red Cross.

Tweeting this will also enter you to win! Master Lock will be giving away 20 prize packs that include a $100 gift card and various Master Lock products.  The complete rules can be found here: http://www.masterlock.com/pdfs/ML_Safety_SS_Rules.pdf

You can also attend the Twitter party on Tuesday, 1/27/15 at 8pm EST with @Resourcefulmom.  Even more prizes will be given away during this event!  RSVP for the party and find more details here: http://resourcefulmommy.com/14562/master-lock-cares-twitter-party-2/.

Please take a moment to share about your moments when you focused on safety and security to help Master Lock donate money to the American Red Cross using the hashtag #MasterLockProtects.  It’s such an easy way to donate and support such a great cause.  Hopefully, you will never need the Red Cross, but if you do, they’ll be there.

You can find out more about the American Red Cross and all of the good work they do at their website: http://www.redcross.org/.  You can also find them on Twitter at @RedCross.
