Welcome to the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop, hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer!  This giveaway hop is one of the largest book-related hops I participate in – there’s literally almost 400 participating bloggers!  So when you’re all done entering here, be sure to use the list at the end of the post to hop around to other awesome giveaways.

You can thank my dad for my prize for the hop.  He picked up a copy of Lincoln’s Last Days: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever but wasn’t really into it,, mostly because it’s aimed towards a younger audience.  However, this book looks intriguing for anybody that is interested in learning more about Lincoln’s last days and his assassination.  So he passed it on to me and I’m passing it on to one of you!

Lincoln’s Last Days is a gripping account of one of the most dramatic nights in American history—of how one gunshot changed the country forever. Adapted from Bill O’Reilly’s bestselling historical thriller, Killing Lincoln, this book will have young readers—and grown-ups too—hooked on history.

In the spring of 1865, President Abraham Lincoln travels through Washington, D.C., after finally winning America’s bloody Civil War. In the midst of celebrations, Lincoln is assassinated at Ford’s Theatre by a famous actor named John Wilkes Booth. What follows is a thrilling chase, ending with a fiery shoot-out and swift justice for the perpetrators.

With an unforgettable cast of characters, page-turning action, vivid detail, and art on every spread, Lincoln’s Last Days is history that reads like a thriller. This is a very special book, irresistible on its own or as a compelling companion to Killing Lincoln.

This giveaway is open to US residents, age 18 and older.  Giveaway ends Thursday, 10/31/13 at 11:59pm EDT.  To enter, just use the widget below.  If it doesn’t load after a minute, refresh your browser.  Don’t forget to check out all of the 350+ other giveaways in this hop with the list below!  Good luck!

Well, I do not have any children in the house — our children are adults with adults or teen-agers of their own.
I did ask hubby today if he wanted to dress-up for Halloween; our church participates in the community Trunk-or-Treat. He said he could dress like Clint Eastwood in Pale Rider [he has the hat].

I really don’t think I’ve had a favorite costume for either my children, or myself. We’ve been lots of things over the years.
