Welcome to the September is for Sequels Giveaway Hop, hosted by Lisa Loves Literature and I Am A Reader, Not A Writer.  This hop features over 100 bloggers offering you book 2 or higher in various series.  Did you start reading a series and get lost along the way?  Maybe you’ll be able to find the next ones in this hop!  The list of all participating bloggers is at the end of this post.

I have a couple of books from cozy series that I’m no longer reading but that I’ve been getting for my mom.  I usually post them to Paperback Swap but thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share them with all of you.  Here they are:

Murder is a Piece of Cake by Elaine Viets – #8 in the Josie Marcus Mystery Shopper series

Mystery shopper Josie Marcus is thrilled to be getting married. But when a deranged bride meets a grim end, Josie will have to catch a murderer before she tosses the bouquet…

As a bride-to-be, Josie’s latest assignment is absolutely fitting—investigating wedding flowers and wedding cakes. Josie can’t wait to pick out the details to make her own wedding perfect, even as her fiancé Ted’s outrageous mother has plans to turn the celebration into an over-the-top extravaganza. Still, the pistol-packing Lenore does come in handy when she draws her gun on Molly—a homicidal bridezilla who threatens to kill Ted unless he agrees to marry her—and saves the day.

Josie thinks the worst pre-wedding disaster is behind her—until Molly is shot and Lenore becomes the prime suspect. With her mother-in-law behind bars and her wedding on hold, Josie’s about to become fully engaged in finding the bridezilla killer and getting her own wedding back on track…

Cloaked in Malice by Annette Blair – #5 in the Vintage Magic Mystery series

There’s nothing Maddie loves more than fabulous vintage clothes, but the visions she gets while touching them are starting to wear her down. Even so, when a beautifully dressed girl comes to Vintage Magic in search of  her past, Maddie isn’t about to turn her away, especially since she bears a striking resemblance to her good friend Dolly Sweet.

When Maddie touches Paisley Skye’s exquisitely crafted child’s cloak, the vision she receives is of the ugliest sort: a decades-old case of kidnapping and murder. To give herself more time to investigate, Maddie enlists the help of her FBI Agent boyfriend Nick and takes Paisley into her home. But when Dolly suddenly skips town, Maddie realizes that uncovering the folds of Paisley’s past will reveal more than one vintage crime…

Yes, I’ve read a cozy mystery. I’ve read lots of mysteries but not always sure if some actually fit that genre — some I know do not. Recently I read Bad Faith, A Sister Agatha Mystery by Aimee and David Thurlo. I have Laura Childs’s A Tea Shop Mystery: Agony of the Leaves and Victoria Hamilton’s new Bran New Death, A Merry Muffin Mystery in hand and ready to read. ** I have not read either cozy mystery series of the two authors you have on the giveaway. Either / Both sound like good series & good stories.
