You all are going to hit me. I’ve never lived further than 2 hours from NYC and I’ve only ever visited 1 art museum. That was in high school and let’s just say it was an adventure that I won’t be repeating. Some of that “art” still gives me nightmares.
However, even though I’m not an artsy person, I can still appreciate the beauty of some art, mostly classic pieces. But if you’re into more modern pieces and you’ll be in New York City, you really need to try to get to the Museum of Modern Art. In fact, I recommend allocating a couple of days if you’re an art fan.
Here’s more about the museum:
But don’t stop at the MOMA! There’s a ton of other art museums in NYC, as well as other museums. I particularly enjoyed The Museum of Natural History – it appealed more to me than art.
I really could go on and on about what’s available in New York for you to do and see. NYC GO has all you need to know about what’s going on in the city. I think you could go for a month and not see everything on a NYC bucket list.
Have you ever been to New York City? If so, what was your favorite part? I think my favorite was the Museum of Natural History, with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular coming in second.
