GIRL! This mom’s instinct was totally wrong!
My daughter Elizabeth was born on 2/2, weighing 8lb 4oz, about 10oz less than the ultrasound had estimated her 4 days earlier, and 20 1/2 inches long. It was a great birth experience and I’m very happy with the hospital, which reinforces my choice to birth there. Her older brother and sister are absolutely in love, as are her parents and the rest of our family.
She’s already surpassed her birth weight and is 8lb 6oz as of yesterday. I am so glad she was born last week as I can imagine how crazy it would have been trying to have her in the aftermath of this huge snowstorm.
So, on that note, I may not be as available as I was in my lazy pregnant days. It’s still pretty quiet here but I imagine I will be more absorbed with her care as she becomes more aware. Oh congratulations!! With both of my kids, I found out what I was having (both boys) while I was still pregnant. I couldn’t stand not knowing
