Thank you to Ubisoft for sponsoring this post. Please visit Amazon.com to get your own copy of Far Cry 3, today’s Gold Box Deal of the Day! I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective. All opinions are my own.

Lately, I’m so stressed out.  It’s mostly my own doing, as I am constantly ruminating over just when and how this baby will be born.  I’m 38 weeks and 5 days today and not seeing an end in sight.  Due to various issues, I can’t be induced with most methods so if baby doesn’t want to come, I’ll be having a c-section.  No problem, I’ve settled that with myself – but when???  In preparation for birth, I’ve cleared out my blog schedule but that’s left me with LOTS of free time.  So what’s a girl to do but get playing some video games!

I’m a little weird in that I most enjoy playing time management games, commonly referred to as “dash” games.  These usually involve farming or cooking and completing different levels by achieving goals.  I started playing these a few years ago when my daughter was little and found them to be fun and stress-relieving.  My husband says he doesn’t know how they’re stress-RELIEVING but I think it’s refreshing to reach a goal that took only 5 minutes to reach.  If it takes me a few tries to get there, I stop and walk away.  When I come back an hour or day later, I’m refreshed and ready to go with a new frame of mind to beat that goal.

I also like Facebook casual games.  One of the reasons I first joined Facebook was to play Mafia Wars with my husband.  Now he doesn’t play any games and I am constantly changing what I’m playing.  I just recently started two different ones.  Combine that with the “word” one that can also be found on my phone, and I’m constantly playing something.  Once again, working towards a goal that sends streamers up into the air and gives me coins just does something for me that folding laundry doesn’t (mostly the fact that it doesn’t need to be done again almost immediately!)

One of my current faves.  Do you know how hard it was to take this screen shot and NOT play?!

I’ve found that there’s always new games out there to be found so I always have a wealth of stress relief at hand, especially with new games popping up on consoles all the time.  And to help with YOUR stress relief, there’s great video game deals on Amazon, like today’s (1/22) Gold Box Deal on Fay Cry 3!  You can purchase it for a great price or if you miss it, there’s always new games on deep discount.
